The Scarlet-bodied Wasp Moth is as eye-catching in person as it is on this bold shirt. This gentle creature rocks brilliant colors and patterns to disguise as a wasp. How cool is that? The plant is the Florida Keys Hempvine which is the host plant for the caterpillars.

This 2024 City Nature Challenge t-shirt order features a flashy, fun design for nature lovers of all ages. It is a Next Level CVC brand T-shirt made out of 60/40 blend of cotton and polyester. These shirts are NOT the cheap, printed shirts with designs that peel off. These are hand silk-screened by UNITEE, a locally-owned company.
Below the graphic on the front, it says Louisiana Master Naturalists of Greater Baton Rouge. On the back, it has the City Nature Challenge date and logo.
This is a custom pre-order, and the deadline to purchase your shirt is February 29, 2024. When the order arrives in mid-March, we will mail your shirt(s) to you.

About the artwork
The original version of the artwork.
The shirt and sticker graphics were designed by Baton Rouge artist, Rordam James. Rordam is a Master Naturalist and uses their knowledge of the natural world to blend the natural with the fantastical. Hand illustration with ink is Rordam’s favorite medium, but also delves into others, including the digital world via computer animation, which Rordam studied at ULL.
